Engine Options

2-Liter In-Line Four-Cylinder

The first engine option for the 2024 Honda Civic sedan is the 2-liter in-line four-cylinder engine. This engine comes standard on the LX and Sport trims. It provides outstanding power, achieving 158 horsepower at 6,500 rpm. It also gets great torque, easily outputting 138 lb-ft at 4,200 rpm. Plus, it can accelerate from zero mph to 60 mph in 9.2 seconds.

1.5-Liter Turbocharged In-Line Four-Cylinder

If you're looking for a more robust engine, opt for the 1.5-liter turbocharged in-line four-cylinder engine. This engine comes standard on the EX and Touring trim levels, which are the two more luxurious options. This engine has increased power and can achieve 180 horsepower at 6,000 rpm. It can also output 177 lb-ft of torque at 1,700-4,500 rpm, an improvement from the previous engine option. There's no shortage of speed either, as this engine easily goes from zero to 60 mph in 7.5 seconds.

Fuel Economy

The 2024 Honda Civic sedan's impressive fuel economy enables you to fuel up less frequently than with other cars. The exact mileage you'll get varies slightly, depending on your chosen trim level. With the base LX trim level, you can expect a fuel economy of 35 mpg combined, with 31 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway. If you opt to level up to the Sport trim, you can get 33 mpg combined, which includes 30 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway.

The third highest trim level, the EX, achieves a fuel economy of 36 mpg combined, with 33 mpg in the city and 42 mpg on the highway. This is an outstanding performance, and it stands out as the 2024 Civic's best deal for fuel economy. With the highest trim level, the Touring, you can get 34 mpg combined, with 31 mpg in the city and 38 mpg on the highway.

Trim Levels

Each 2024 Honda Civic trim level offers new upgrades and features. Here are more details about the specific features included with each.

LX

While the LX trim is the base-level trim for the 2024 Civic, it's anything but basic. This model comes with Honda Sensing safety and driver-assistive technologies, such as a Collision Mitigation Braking System, Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow, Lane Keeping Assist System, and Road Departure Mitigation System. You can also enjoy various convenience features, such as driver and front passenger vanity mirrors, one-touch turn indicators, and illuminated steering wheel-mounted controls. For entertainment, there's a 7-inch color touch screen and 160-watt audio system with four speakers, with capabilities for connecting to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Sport

The Sport trim offers all the same features as the LX, with a few improvements. For instance, you'll get a larger 180-watt audio system with eight speakers instead of four. You can also expect additional comfort features, such as a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob and sport pedals. There are a few differences on the exterior, as the Sport trim adds a chrome exhaust finisher, Smart Entry with Walk Away Auto Lock, and Gloss Black body-colored power side mirrors.

You'll also get the same two-speed intermittent windshield wipers as the LX trim. These are unavailable on the EX and Touring trim levels.

EX

Aside from the addition of the 1.5-liter turbocharged in-line four-cylinder engine, the EX trim adds several other luxuries. For instance, you'll get heated front seats as standard and a one-touch power moonroof. The EX trim adds a Blind-Spot Information System and heated body-colored power side mirrors. On this trim, the windshield wipers receive an upgrade to variable intermittent windshield wipers for even more visibility. Beverage holders also get added to the rear rows, while they only come in the front row of the two lower trim levels.

Touring

Opt for the Touring model if you want the most opulent ride. This trim level has features unique from the previous trims, such as wireless connectivity to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, heated front seats trimmed in leather, and a Bose Premium Sound System with 12 speakers, including a subwoofer. You'll get the same variable intermittent windshield wipers as the EX trim, but the Touring makes them rain-sensing for even more innovation. A few other perks you'll only see on the Touring trim are low-speed braking control, front and rear parking sensors, and Rear Cross-Traffic Monitor.

The heated body-colored power side mirrors on the Touring's exterior come with integrated LED turn indicators. You'll also get LED fog lights on this trim, along with an automatic-dimming rearview mirror and HomeLink Remote System.
